App password not accepted by email client

I have just enabled two factor authentication on my account. Subsequent to this i created an app password to use with my mobile device email client (Outlook), but despite multiple attempts I keep getting incorrect password error messages. I’ve tried using the same password for IMAP/SMTP and different passwords too - I’ve also tried another email client in case that was the problem - but same issue.

Has anyone come across this before and have any tips how to resolve?

I dont know your email username and have not checked your account, but in general when you turn on App Passwords or 2FA, your account password can not be used with IMAP and SMTP any more.

Testing with different passwords will not help, as only the app password will work. Did you send in a support ticket regarding this? If so, what is the ticket ID?
