Bounced emails

What is going on with Runbox? I use RB 6. A few weeks ago I got an email from Runbox support stating there was an error in the code (or something like that) and that some incoming emails were bounced back to the sender. They also said the issue was fixed. Apparently, it’s not. I am still getting snail mail letters from my credit card companies that statement emails are being sent back as undeliverable. After a number of times this happens, they send a paper statement and charge me for it. I have checked the accuracy of the email address each time I get one of these paper letters from various senders, not just one specifically. So, what is going on, Runbox?

@Dayla13 There are currently no general ongoing issues with mail delivery. However, we are aware that some companies use mailing systems that stop sending emails to addresses they get a bounce from and bounced messages can happen for lots of reasons. We have definite evidence this is the case because when our customers add a new alias address to their account and give that to these companies they then start getting emails again (i.e. we are not blocking them).

To make matters worse, when our customers contact these companies about the problem often the customer support staff aren’t aware of how their email system works and just see from their point of view that the emails are being sent as they have no other information about the situation.

All that said, I would strongly recommend you contact us at support@runbox.com or https://support.runbox.com so we can look at this on an account specific basis for you.
