When using the built-in search in Firefox while reading mail in Runbox7, Firefox does not find any instance of the searched word in a message list, despite the word being right there. It does find occurrences in the reading pane.
It would be great if there was a quick fix for it, i rely a lot on the built-in search just in any application (OS, Word, Firefox, …).

The reason for this is that the message list is generated with HTML5 Canvas, basically meaning that it’s drawn on your screen as a graphic.
The advantage of this is that it’s extremely fast (unlike HTML tables or other elements) and facilitates the display of infinite lists with no delay. The downside is that the browser’s “find on page” function is rendered useless.
We will consider alternatives to this solution as other technologies are becoming available.
