BUG - Deleting

Hi all, I am experiencing a small bug upon email deleting.

The pop-up “Deleting” stays there forever.

The only way to remove it is to refresh the page.

Very minor for me, but I think it is worth to be mentioned.

Thanks

This happened to me too.

Thanks for reporting this. It could be an index sync issue, where the message is deleted on the server, but the popup gets stuck. As you’ve found, refreshing the page gets rid of the popup.

Is the index synchronization on or off when this happens? You can try turning it off and see if it keeps happening. Under the folder list in the left sidebar, click “Stop index synchronisation”. This removes the local index stored in your browser, which has resolved similar deletion-related issues for other users. The trade-off is you lose column sorting and fast search while it’s off.

If it keeps happening, please reach out to Runbox Support at support.runbox.com or mail@support.runbox.com with as much detail as you can, that way we can look into your account directly.

Thank you Mel for the feedback.

I have tried again today and it is not happening, neither w or w/o sync active.

But I also noticed the following:

if I have sync active, and select multiple messages, when I delete them, the system delete all except the last selected, which is not deleted.

With sync off, this is not happening.

(Usually I keep sync off)

Thanks

Ok thank you for the update. We are working on improving how the index works, and I’ll forward your reporting to the team.

Thanks again.

If the bulk-delete issue returns, it may help to note whether the last message is still in the original folder after a refresh or only remains visible until then. That could help distinguish a display issue from a deletion that didn’t reach the server.

Actually the last deleted item remains visible until a browser refresh.

Thanks
