When I delete an email… it remains in the list. I have to either manually refresh the page or click on another folder and come back for it to no longer be listed.
Hi, thanks for reporting. This is not the experience you should be having, and is most likely related to the local index that Runbox 7 keeps in your browser to make the message list fast. When the index sync lags, deleted messages can linger in the list until you refresh the page or click on another folder.
We are making improvements to the way the index sync work, and this is in review on GitHub right now. In the meantime, which browser are you using, and does it happen with every deletion or only some (e.g. large folders or when deleting quickly in succession)? That can help pin it down. Also in the meantime, turning the index sync off will help, although search will be slower.
Best regards,

I am using FF 156.0.1.
I normally use Thunderbird configured as POP, so I generally have little mail on the server at any point. I go daily to check my inbox and a few other folders, and when I have too many I open TB to download them and clear off the mail online. I generally never have more than 100-200 emails online at any one point before I clear it off.
This issue seems to happen all the time, or often enough that I notice it. I generally use RB6, but now and then I try RB7 again hoping that it would be better. I honestly do not like the interface or the way it works. I know RB wants to build something up from scratch, but it seems that other services seem to handle things better (I really like the Proton interface and how it works). So I stick with RB6 99% of the time.
I find if I disable indexing, the problem goes away, so for now I keep it that way. As I do not have a large amount of emails, it makes no real difference.
Thank you for the details. It sounds like the local index isn’t updating properly after you download to TB/clear mail out of webmail. Sorry you’re having this issue, it’s frustrating to have to keep refreshing for it to update. As mentioned, we are working on improvements to the index sync, and I have passed the issue on to the team for further investigation.
Thank you also for the feedback on the interface. We’ve got work to do to improve, and are currently investing in bigger upgrades behind the scenes to modernise the platform. We’ll be doing updates on the forum as we have more to share.
Thanks!
