Wondering if Runbox has a feature that’d allow specified users to access an account should the account’s owner pass away or so

Our terms of service state:
“4.8 The Agreement is non-transferable. Relatives of a deceased account owner may request termination of Agreement upon presenting official documentation and identification.”
As such we provide no specific feature that allows nominated persons to access the account of another person. If you need more information about this please contact us at Runbox Support. Thank you.
Access to the digital world is a big issue when people depart this world as a lot if important information needed for executors or next of kin cannot be accessed. To manage this many give passwords to next or kin or leave instructions with executors/ lawyers or in the will.
However I can see a downside to this as all of a sudden someones (deceased I admit) email is accessed by someone other than the real owner and in the wrong hands may be open to abuse or identity theft. But it is good to know Runbox will close an account on getting appropriate documentation that the email owner has passed away.
