Filter and move plus addresses (wildcard?)

Hi, I started using plus addressing to manage different accounts in some sites (example: shopping+123@domain…)

I already have a filter that any message sent to a given alias (“Message where TO”, that containes “shopping@domain…”, for example), are saved to a “shopping” folder. It is working for years, but they do not work with plus addressing. I already tried to use a wildcard (*) to get any “+thing”, but they did not work.

Can it be done? Or am I missing something here? Creating a custom filter to each plus address that I want to use is quite boring.

Many thanks!

Hello. Using your example the format of each plus/sub-address would be:

shopping+@domain

Although you can’t have a wildcard for anything after the + symbol you could create a filter that just looks for “shopping+” (without the quotes of course) in the To: field and see if that works. You may not need to include the full address with the domain for it to work?

I haven’t tried it myself but it’s the only thing I can think of at this point in time.

Let me know if it helps or works
