Hi, I receive and send several emails in Japanese throughout the day, but some, not all, of the emails are not encoded properly in both my laptop browser and the android webapp. Sometimes it is just the subject of the email, other times it is both the subject and body of the email. I don’t often use Runbox 6 so checked and noticed that in a few emails the subject is also not properly encoded but generally the body of the text is okay.
If you need any further information let me know.
Same problem here.
I just started using Runbox after moving over from Yahoo mail. Everything is great except found one issue for me. Runbox 7 doesn’t seem to support iso-2022-jp charset. See screenshots comparing with Runbox 6 below:
From email header:
Content-Type: text/html;charset=iso-2022-jp
I noted that Runbox 6 isn’t perfect either (such as contact names in Japanese don’t display), but it seems it is able to show the subject and body correctly.
Have only used Runbox for 1 week but will see how it comes out with Thai, Chinese and Korean. Would be great if the most common charsets will be supported in the near future.
