While I love the face lift and logo change, I couldn’t help but notice it looked oddly familiar. The new logo and wordmark share striking similarities with offshore oil services company Subsea 7, and was wondering if this was going to be a potential legal issue. Attached are the logos of both.
It’s unlikely to be an issue as the names of the companies are different and the font faces are substantially different (just look at the u and b for example). I suspect what makes them seem similar is the use of the number 7 at the end which in both cases is designed to stand out as a feature, but in different ways.
