It’s no longer possible to sort the messages.
In Runbox 6 this was possible by clicking on the column titles: Size, Date, From…
(Firefox ESR 52.6 on Windows 7)
This is currently only possible when using a local/synchronized index, but we have it on our list for using a server index as well.

Even if other restrictions are documented, this one is not
Yes, in my Trash folder, one older message is appearing at the top of the list, so I tried to sort on the Date column, but no luck.

… etc.
As mentioned it is a known issue on our to-do list, so it isn’t a restriction by design that requires documentation.
