When performing a search for a specific email address – particularly when the email is recent – does NOT show up in the list of results, even though the email address specified matches the query.
When using the search function, whether it be using the “From” or “Entire Message” option,…and whether it’s used in conjunction with or separately from the |``|“Current Folder” option, it does NOT work accurately.
— The propagated results will show many emails but not the most recent, even though the email address is the same.
— After selecting the “Current Folder” option, it will display no emails in the search results for the current folder, even though the recent message is in the current folder with the matching email that was searched for.
@John14.6Only4Hope There can sometimes be delays in the indexing and we are working to improve that. Can I suggest you please contact us at https://support.runbox.com or support@runbox.com so we can look at your account specifically and sort this out for you? Thank you.
Dear Peter W. – Just responding to ask, did you ever find satisfactory solution for this?
The search function used to work pretty well for me in Runbox 6, but in the last year or so, it has become completely useless!
It appears from his reply that Dave misunderstood that you were asking about Runbox 7, perhaps because you posted in the Runbox 7 forum. I’m unaware of a search-topic synchronization in Runbox 6.
For what it’s worth, search works great in Runbox 7, but other bugs (legion!) and lack of satisfactory instructions make it intolerable to use, so I’m going back to 6. – jclarkw2
