I am being spammed relentlessly by an outfit that generates over 60 ( yes 60!) mails a day. I’ve tried blocking the email addresses but it doesn’t work because they keep slightly varying the addresses and the domain names. Also the mails are never flagged as spam. I would expect that marking the mails as spam to move them to the spam filter would result in a spam filter learning to subsequently reject the emails but no….any help with this is highly appreciated thanx
Hello @gabyt and thanks for your message.
We are in the process of a major spam filter upgrade, and we are planning to deploy SpamAssassin 4.0 tomorrow (Thursday).
We hope this upgrade will noticeably improve spam filtering and are looking forward to any feedback you may have.

I too have a large amount of spam getting through. I notice that in my Runbox Filter Settings, I only have the option for “DSpam (Legacy)” and not SpamAssassin. Is this supposed to be how it is, or has SpamAssassin somehow been disabled on my account?
I think I’ve resolved this by adding the following Filter:
[Order -5] [Header] [contains] [X-Spam-Level: ***] [save to folder] [Spam]
Feature request: It would much more user friendly to have the ability to automatically generate a filter like this using the “Detect junk mail” section on the Filter page, rather than having to define a custom filter.
Does the Dspam option even do anything. I can’t see any reference to it in my email Headers.
And is SpamAssassin being trained by me moving emails to my Spam folder, or that was just for Dspam?
